The film follows an aging shepherd who struggles to find a successor as bears prey on his flock, and a teenage boy who becomes obsessed with tracking the bears. Through its breathtaking cinematography and immersive storytelling, THE SHEPHERD AND THE BEAR is a modern folktale about tradition, community and humanity’s relationship with a vanishing natural world. His recent work includes series one and two of DEFENDERS OF DIGITAL, an online series for Tomorrow Unlocked which celebrates digital activists across the world. The first series reached over 20 million viewers. Max completed an undergraduate degree in Politics and Political Philosophy at University of East Anglia, for which he was awarded first-class honours. He was then accepted onto the highly prestigious Broadcast Journalism Masters at City University of London and graduated in 2019 with merit.
