Filmmaker Michael Turner (The Way We Talk) documents his first visit to a Holocaust memorial created by his grandmother Lici, a Hungarian Jew whose parents and sister were killed in Auschwitz. The resulting personal documentary is a powerful and poetic story of two relatives meeting through time and space to carry their family memory forward.

About the filmmaker 

MICHAEL TURNER, Director, DP, Editor, Writer.  Michael earned a BA in Film from CSU Long Beach and interned as an editor at Global Voices For Justice and Collective Eye Films.  He received an Oregon Media Arts Fellowship for his first documentary feature, THE WAY WE TALK (2016), which continues to screen around the world at cinemas and universities in many languages, and has been part of a global paradigm shift in how stuttering is perceived.
