In the depths of the Sierra of Guerrero in Mexico, after the disappearance of the 43 students, we find the reaction of wounded civil society to seek an answer to the situation of abuse of authority mixed with poverty.
Ludovic Bonleux works since 2002 as a director, a producer and a photographer in Mexico, France and Latin America. He has collaborated with French television channels Canal Plus, France 2, France 3, M6, Voyages, Equidia, Direct 8, Images Plus ... His debut film, THE CRIME OF ZACARIAS BARRIENTOS (52 ', K Production, capdalprod, Images Plus, 2008) was selected at festivals FICCO 2008 (Mexico City), FICA 2008 (Acapulco), Festival of Memory (Tepoztlán, 2009) and Bolivia Lab 2011 (Bolivia) as well as being featured in several locations in Mexico and France. From 2008-2012 he has been making the feature documentary REMEMBER ACAPULCO (capdalprod, Terra Nostra Films, Novanima) which release is planned for early 2013. The documentary project had been selected to the pitching sessions of Bardonecchia - Doc In Europe (European Documentary Network, Italy), FIPA (Biarritz, France), Malaga Markets and “San Sebastian Crossing Borders” in festival (Spain). In 2012 he made the first web-documentary broadcasted in Mexico and the first made with Iphone, U.S. CARAVANA, in collaboration with the French magazine Courrier International and the Mexican agency Aristeguinoticias (www.uscaravana.com). After studying history at the University of Bordeaux France, Ludovic Bonleux attended several photography workshops in United States (Pasadena Art Center), Mexico (Centro de la Imagen ) and studied a Master 2 in documentary filmmaking at the University Paris 7. He specializes in documentary with archives in LA FEMIS in Paris (ArchiDoc Workshop sponsored by the MEDIA program and the "Région Aquitaine"). Ludovic Bonleux currently resides in Mexico City.
